This is an action carried out by employers or governments to disrupt a workers’ strike to make it ineffectual.

Example of Use: The high rate of unemployment in the region made it comparatively easy for the employer to use strikebreaking techniques effectively. Essentially, it was easy to get people who were desperate for work to replace the striking workers.
