European Works Council - (EWC )

Definition

The purpose of a European Works Council (EWC) is to bring together employee representatives from the different European countries in which a multinational company has operations.

Example of Use: The EU European Works Council Directive applies to companies or groups with 1,000 or more employees in the European Economic Area (EEA) and at least 150 employees in each of two or more Member States.
