Bargaining - (adjective)

Definition

Bargaining’ is often used as an adjective with the nouns ‘position’, ’power’, or ‘strength’. The more members a trade union has, for example, the greater the bargaining power it will have in negotiations with management.

Example of Use: The loss of members left the trade union in a weaker bargaining position. The change in labour laws, which made strike action more difficult, resulted in a loss of bargaining power.
